♥ MIRACLE OF THE DAY ♥

A master of flight and migration (especially for a butterfly!)… the glorious Monarch!…

It’s so significant to me, having appeared in truly incredible ways during highly transformative times throughout my life… What a Divine gift it has been to discover it here on the Big Island, when answering Hawaii’s call has been a giant leap of faith!… I had no idea the Monarch exists beyond the North American continent!…

I’ve been familiar with this gorgeous, big butterfly since my youth, as its range spans from central Mexico all the way to upper Canada (I was raised in southeastern Manitoba).

Amazingly, every Autumn, the last generation of these butterflies (that emerge from their chrysalis before the cold weather), migrate all the way down to the mountains in central Mexico… and they’ve NEVER been there before!…

They fly that incredible distance without logical knowledge to navigate to that destination. Once there, they cluster by the thousands on the evergreen trees and spend the Winter in Mexico. When Spring arrives, they mate and start the journey north, creating the second generation of butterflies that mates and continues north, until Canada receives the 3rd or 4th generations. The last generation doesn’t mate, but instead makes the long journey south to overwinter in Mexico… and this incredible cycle begins anew…

They are truly awe-inspiring!…♥

With love and wonder-filled spirit,

  1. Hi Lucille,

it’s a little like you right now. You migrated, not knowing much about how it would all be… just trusting and following your instincts and the call – like the Monarch.

Thank you for this beautiful blog. Who doesn’t love the beautiful deLightful creatures that teach us that just being you is what inspires greatly to be beautiful and free?

    big smile,
    Tanya
