On the day of my birthday, March 14th, we were driving up and up in elevation through the glorious Yosemite Nat’l Park. We planned to go on a full hike, further than we’d been before in our beloved Mariposa Grove (where so many of the giant tree beings, like Giant Sequoias, Sugar Pines and Redwoods stand majestically throughout the forest)…
Red-Tailed Hawk has been a dear power animal of mine since I left my ‘status quo’ life behind me in May 2011, and shows up in physical form when I least expect it, no matter where I seem to be!…
On that beautifully sunny and special day, I was feeling so blessed just to be there and radiating great love and appreciation as the winding roads led us further into the park with incredible Nature surrounding us…
Suddenly… “out of the blue”, a gorgeous Red-Tailed Hawk soared low into full view in the sky, right in front of the car, perfectly aligned with us so we could see it in detail, tail feathers fanned out so regally…!!!
It was absolutely one of those “wow!” moments that I will always cherish (even more so by having shared it with my sweetheart).
What a truly special, unexpected birthday gift from Spirit! We had been in that area of California for 10 days already at that point and hadn’t seen this raptor anywhere! (I wasn’t even aware it resided in that area)
Life never ceases to awe-maze me!… ♥
