When we live from the heart, we have a higher appreciation ability.
This greatly enhances all our experiences of life.
Even when certain circumstances might not seem favourable, we’re able to receive the gem within them or that emerges from them.
Life is no longer just a series of “good” or “bad” experiences, but a journey of discoveries that teach us about ourselves, others and this amazing world we live in.
Having an open heart allows us to make the most of any situation, so that we never have regrets.
We live life to the fullest of our abilities instead.
When I answered the call of my heart and Alaska in May, I knew this meant I would be living in a city apartment. I hadn’t lived in an apartment for over a decade and I’d been living in the country, surrounded by beautiful Nature, for the past three years. This was going to be quite an adjustment for me to make!
I was so pleased to see that the apartment is nothing like the apartment blocks I was used to in my past. It’s more the style of a house, with big windows in the walls and the door exits outside to the private parking stall.
Then to my delightful surprise, I noticed a beautiful tree being growing just outside our apartment with its branches spanning across all three large picture windows! When I arrived in May it was in full bloom, decorated with fragrant little white flowers. So many bees and butterflies visited every day and now that the flowers are berries, many bird species come to feed.
It’s the only tree I’ve seen growing along the apartment buildings here. I feel truly privileged.
Energy has no boundaries, and so its immense auric field extends through the wall and into our living room and dining room. I can connect with its beautiful energy without even being conscious of it – simply by walking into the living room.
This tree has been such an unexpected, divine gift for my spirit, mind and body! It makes all the difference in the environment for me. I can’t imagine it not being there.
Even though my home is currently an urban apartment, I have been gifted with Nature this way. I appreciate it every day.
When life throws us a “curve ball” that we didn’t see coming, it’s so easy to judge it as something negative. It’s easy to automatically react and want to resist it.
However, knowing in our hearts that life is supportive of us, allows us to take a moment to breathe and approach the situation with open curiosity instead of condemnation.
This one simple shift of perspective, from the heart, makes all the difference.
If anything, it allows us to handle the situation with a clearer mind so we can make the most of it.
When you’re faced with an unexpected situation, do you find yourself automatically expecting the worst, or do you allow yourself to open to the possibilities?
