I’ve learned from decades of experience, that our sacred hearts have infinite wisdom and their guidance is always for our highest good. Even when we feel guided into something that might bring up fears in some form, there’s always a brilliant gem waiting to reveal itself, if we have the courage to follow through with this higher guidance.
Trust in ourselves and in the divinity of life, is the key that enables us to follow this source of higher guidance.
Yesterday evening I felt guided to return to my sacred space in Nature. It’s a beautiful cliff with a gorgeous view of the mountains off one of the trails at McHugh Creek in Alaska.
I hadn’t been there for nearly a week, since I had noticed fresh bear poop on the trail several times. And it was a lot of poop – so probably from a large, berry-loving bear! I had made the choice to hike another trail instead and give that bear the space it needed while it was in the area.
Then “just like that” I felt guided to go back to this trail and to “my” cliff. So I went! As I climbed higher and higher up the trail, I was delighted to find feathers on my path instead of bear poop! Feathers have always been a very significant sign for me from Spirit that “all is divinely perfect”. So to not only find one feather, but then another one higher up, and then a third one up even higher on the trail (all from different birds)… it just filled me with so much joy! I love those unexpected gifts from Nature and Spirit! Plus, three times “anything” is even more significant.
It was a gorgeous summer day and I felt so grateful for having listened to my inner guidance to return to that special space in Nature that I love so much. The bear had obviously moved on since I saw no sign of it.
At times it can be challenging to follow what we feel our hearts are guiding us to do, since we have our minds continuously evaluating everything we perceive. If anything feels threatening to our safety (like the unknown!), our minds dismiss it.
Trust is necessary to allow our hearts to lead, for our hearts don’t operate from a logical point of view. Our hearts’ language and guidance is directly from Spirit. Practice deepens our trust.
The more you allow your heart to lead, beginning with little things, and experience favourable outcomes, the more you deepen your trust in yourself as well as in the divinity of life.
What is one thing that your heart is guiding you to do at this time, that you might be hesitant about but willing to trust and see how it unfolds?
With love and wonder-filled spirit,
