We all have abilities beyond our common senses of perception and they far surpass the efficiency of logic.
When we allow our mind chatter to calm down and simply shift our awareness to what we “feel” guided to do (and more often than not, it does not make logical sense), we align with our divine nature and the divinity of life, and all things become possible.
When our minds take a break, we witness how everything suddenly falls into place beyond our expectations and we just know that we’re in “divine flow”.
Yesterday, Michael and I went for a scenic drive to the town of Seward in Alaska, 2.5 hours south of Anchorage. It was a beautiful day to get out of the city and just “go with the flow” – without planning. One of his friends had opened a Thai restaurant and we thought we’d show her support by having dinner there. However, he had no idea where the restaurant was located and we didn’t look it up – no online search or GPS to guide us.
As soon as we arrived in Seward, I was navigating unknown territory.
We ended up discovering many wonderful places of interest, since I was driving and turning on streets where I simply felt guided to go. After visiting several different places, it was time to eat before journeying back. We had seen so many different cafes, restaurants, pubs and even food trucks – but no Thai restaurant.
I was now craving a Thai tea to boost me for the drive back, and fresh vegetarian spring rolls. While the other food places were tempting, being conveniently right where we were, I desired to find that Thai restaurant. I ended up at a “dead end” on a street by the pier. So, I turned around and drove in a different direction, until I felt a “split second nudge” to turn onto a street that didn’t look like much at all, away from tourist areas.
Just when I started to think I’d made a mistake… the Thai restaurant suddenly appeared!
We ended up getting the last available parking spot, conveniently in front of the entrance, beside a car with 222 on its license plate! I received a Thai tea with coconut milk as a non-dairy substitute – pure heaven for me. And then… Michael’s friend was so happy to see us that she gave us complimentary fresh vegetarian spring rolls (before we ordered any)! Desire manifested and fully savoured! I also ended up having the BEST Thai meal ever – their panang special! We also arrived in perfect timing as the restaurant suddenly filled to capacity, with people having to wait
There is always a solely logical way to do things to get results.
However, divine timing and orchestrations result from allowing our higher senses to lead. These create experiences that surpass what we could imagine.
It’s not about not using our minds, but rather giving our minds a rest from always being the leaders. Our minds dismiss anything beyond logic, and we miss out on the mystical aspect of life and ourselves.
While Michael and I could easily have looked up the restaurant, it was so much more amazing to see how everything unfolded, by just “going with the flow”. We discovered that we were really in “divine flow” regardless how things seemed when we ended up on that street.
Experiences like these remind us that there’s a lot more to life than what our minds perceive. Each of these experiences also empowers us, for we learn to trust life and ourselves that much more.
Have you had an experience where you found yourself navigating the unknown and what you experienced by doing so, far exceeded what you could have planned?
With love and wonder-filled spirit,
