I’m sharing the seasonal treasures of Alaska’s landscapes with you today…
I feel so enthralled by Nature’s wonders and beauty every single day.
I just never imagined how it would captivate me this much, so far up north – Mother Earth never ceases to awe-maze me…
I feel so blessed to have been able to witness and experience the glory of Alaska’s wild landscapes in all their seasonal changes… a place I never planned to travel to in this life… and then Michael changed all that (so very grateful!).
I’ve been here since the end of May, after answering the call of that land and my heart, and I’ve seen Alaska…
Blossoming with new life in Spring, with every tree and shrub covered with fragrant flowers; new plants and leaves bright green; and animal babies of all kinds exploring their new world, from the furry to the feathered.
Bursting with vibrancy in Summer, with lush ferns and other plants in the forests; colourful fireweed and lupine flowers decorating open spaces with brilliant fuschia-purples and violet-blues; and berries of all sorts appearing on shrubs and trees.
Radiant with colour in Autumn, with every meadow, forest trail and mountain decorated with leaves of rich crimsons, golds, ambers, yellows, burgundys and olive greens; birds of so many kinds flocking together and migrating; and salmon returning to create the next generation.
Glowing with luminous white in Winter (the seasons don’t necessarily follow the human calendar – especially here!), with snow-covered, impressive jagged mountains, vast meadows and valleys; the chickadees, ravens and magpies ever-present in the city and Nature; the air so pure and crisp.
Every place I’ve had the privilege of travelling to in this incredibly beautiful world, has offered so much to discover, learn and experience through an open heart in loving connection with Nature, Spirit and so many different people.
Well… I always had SOME idea of what to expect with those places, but Alaska has definitely taken me by surprise! Deeply grateful.
What treasures has your heart guided you to, that you hadn’t expected?
With love and wonder-filled spirit,
