I experienced a perfect example of the power of circular energy flow (as opposed to the one way straight line flow)… While the circular exchange beautifully benefits and empowers many, the straight line is wasteful and depleting. I strive to remain in the circular flow.
I had a fantastic “girls’ day” out with 2 dear Soul Sisters… We started with lunch at “our” restaurant of delicious Ethiopian food (“Kokeb”) owned by a wonderful family. They relocated downtown in the city and reopened recently – we love supporting locally and family owned places of business. Downtown during lunch hour usually means parking is “wishful thinking”… BUT as we pondered where to go for parking at a red traffic light (with very cold wind blowing!), a vehicle parked in front of the restaurant building just ahead of us, departed… leaving us the PERFECT spot as the light turned green! The owner was happy to see us again and we enjoyed a wonderful buffet of favourite foods!…
Then we went to a big second-hand store to bring boxes and bags of all sorts to donate from all 3 of our households. Donations help several different local charities. In appreciation from the employees, we were surprised with a 30% off coupon to each of us (normally it’s per vehicle) to use in their store! You never know what treasures you might find there, so we happily browsed the clothing and other stuff. Well, I ended up with 5 gorgeous “like new” tops to add to my wardrobe, 3 of which are one of my favourite Canadian brands – ALL for only $23.52 with the discount!!! I emptied my closet so much last month (which I donated), it’s truly enjoyable to see that big space refill with clothing that feels more “me” now! And as I approached the cashier line to pay, a very sweet girl opened another cash register to assist me… We all found treasures there – so fun!
Ahhh… it felt like the PERFECT girls’ day… so many benefited and will keep benefiting – including us.
It’s impossible to not feel divine when in that circular flow of energy!… ♥
