Having voluteered 11 years ago for 3 months in Costa Rica on the Pacific side, for PRETOMA (the Latin American sister foundation of the Sea Turtle Restoration Project in California), it made me wonder if any of those beautiful sea turtles were once hatchlings I watched emerge from the sand and safely crawl into the ocean…
