♥ Miracle of the Day ♥

Pure wonderment…

Every moment there’s something new to experience through our senses – the physical, common ones and the intuitive ones. No moment is ever exactly the same as another. Life keeps things interesting this way – change is natural!

The secret to making the most of every moment is to be open with wonder – like children. To experience our inner and outer worlds as if every moment is for the first time.

Instead of assuming we already know everything about something, by switching our perspective to curiosity, we fully experience it in a way that’s new. Life surprises us every time when we open to a new perspective. The wonders of the world suddenly become infinite!

When I hiked in Yosemite National Park, I saw countless giant tree beings, the biggest being Sugar Pines, Giant Sequoias and Redwoods. Even though I was surrounded by them for hours, and hiked the same trail multiple times, every single forest giant I encountered left me speechless with wonder, again and again. I saw the individuality of each one. It made the hike that much more incredible. There was so much to experience in addition to the tree beings – I was wide open with wonder.

This photograph “in action” captured my pure wonderment as I fully experienced this amazing Giant Sequoia. This was by far the largest “inner cave” I had come across inside one of these tree beings – its space was literally the size of a tipi inside! Wow!…

I feel blessed for never having lost this ability that we all have as children – to see everything through an inquiring, open perspective. It enriches life in ways that are priceless.

If you feel like you’ve lost that ability and desire to experience more of life again, simply switch your perspective from one of “oh another this, another that, this again, that again” to open curiosity about everything.

One of my favourite quotes:

“Wonder is the beginning of wisdom.”
― Socrates

I wish you great joy with experiencing new wonders… ♥
